Mailing List Policy

In keeping with the Mission Statement of Greater Kansas City Medical Managers Association (GKCMMA), the Board of Directors of GKCMMA (Board) has adopted the following policy regarding the use of the Association’s website, member roster, mailing addresses, phone numbers.

NOT-FOR-PROFIT STATUS, Educational Purposes
GKCMMA will provide to other not-for-profit agencies the names and addresses of Active GKCMMA Members for the purpose of promoting educational opportunities of those agencies. Prior to any distribution, the Board will review the purposes and/or materials to be distributed, if available, and determine their appropriateness. Whenever possible, GKCMMA will receive from the requesting agency the materials to be distributed, along with payment for mailing costs, and mail the materials to GKCMMA’s members to safeguard future use of the mailing list. At the Board’s discretion, the mailing labels may be provided to the requesting agency.

NOT-FOR-PROFIT STATUS, Website Purposes
On an individual basis, the GKCMMA Board may authorize a link be established on the organization’s website for a not-for-profit organization to promote their educational opportunity in an appropriate format for Internet use. The requesting organization will agree to pay for all costs associated with said process and will be billed accordingly by GKCMMA.

FOR-PROFIT STATUS, Business Purposes
Unless specific Board approval is obtained, GKCMMA will not provide mailing list information to agencies or companies promoting seminars or soliciting purchases from GKCMMA members, which are for-profit agencies or companies. If Board approval is granted, GKCMMA will receive the materials from the agency or company, along with payment for mailing costs, and mail the materials to GKCMMA members. The actual mailing list information shall not be released to such agencies or companies.

GKCMMA MEMBER STATUS
Upon a request from an Active or Business Partner Member of GKCMMA, GKCMMA will provide the mailing list for use once Board approval has been obtained. It shall be such Active Member’s and Business Partner Member’s responsibility to safeguard the information obtained and use it for only the purposes approved by the Board. The cost of $150 will be billed to the member for an electronic listing of members, which shall be the responsibility of the requesting party. Once payment is received by GKCMMA, the electronic list will be emailed.
Members who wish to be excluded from lists provided to outside companies should contact the GKCMMA Central Office to request such exclusion.
Any other uses or distribution of the Association’s mailing list or website use must be approved by the Board of Directors of the Association.
